I didn’t bother with reading the ingredients. I asked the SA if she had a tester set so I could check out the fragrance, but even though they didnt, I bought it anyway coz just look at them!!!! Aren’t they just adorable? With a little cherry on top too!
We were strolling through the shopping promenade at the Galaxy Hotel in Macau when I stopped at the Starbucks there to graba cappuccino. I came out of Starbucks with my coffee in hand and saw these two cute cupcakes in a box just across me in Sasa (you could say that Sasa is Hong Kong’s answer to Sephora. In fact, it is said that Sasa gave such tough competition to Sephora in terms of pricing, that Sephora had to shut down!!!)…I squealed, hubby and boys looked at me in alarm, I dumped my coffee in hubby’s hands and I went in to get these little cuties.
The “cherries” are actually the screw-on caps of the cupcake bottles. The shower gel looks a medium pink in the bottle but when you pour it in your palm, it is very pale, translucent, shimmery and thick gel and works up a great lather. The fragrance is a very fruity and kinda artificial and didnt really match up to my expectations.
The body lotion seems thick in the bottle and is a bit difficult to remove. It isn’t as thick as it looks however, and is, like the name suggests, a lotion and not a cream. Super quick to get absorbed into the skin, it does moisturise the skin quite decently. I don’t think it would be hydrating enough for very dry skins or even in winter but its really good for summer. The fruity fragrance is quite strong and lingers long too, so when I’m using this shower gel and lotion, I don’t wear any other fragrance.
Now for the bad news, its got mineral oil, parabens, SLS, DEA….you get the picture. Anyway, I’m willing to turn a blind eye to that just coz the packaging is gorgeous!
This set was on discount at HK$ 68 (original price HK$ 84) which is around Rs. 500! Good value for money don’t you think?
