A couple of days ago, Shikha from Sorelle Grapevine did this very different and interesting tag post where, in 10 different ways, you share things about yourself with your readers. It is the 10 Day You Challenge…..
Choosing just one picture out of hundreds and thousands is a really difficult choice, but I finally decided on this one….
This was my first, and only, big trek when I was 17 years old. (I’m not counting all the chotu, one-day treks we did in girl guides). I had gone for a week-long trek to the Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal which is at a height of 14,875 feet. This picture was taken on the day when we set out for the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) and had taken a break before we started crossing the first major glaciar.
This was also the time when I used to take cold water showers. Imagine that, chilly water at 5am in the mountains in Nepal. Yup, that was me. And I guess that was the reason I had really good immunity and very good tolerance to the cold. As you can see, all I wore was skinny jeans and a lime green polo neck tee in that cold weather. En route, when it started getting colder, I wore a sweater on top and that’s it. No muffler, no jacket, no cap…. Btw, fashion has certainly come a full circle in these last 17 years, coz skinny denims and pop/neon colours are back in fashion 😉 (Yea, so you managed to calculate my age!!)
This pic brings back so many wonderful memories of that wonderful trek. I had such a great time with my girl gang! Didnt meet any Bunny though (if you didnt get the reference, watch Yeh Jawaani Hai Dewaani…..I could quite identify with Naina). So, that was my one photo. I will now have to narrow down my favorite songs to just two. What a tough job! I would like to tag all of you to do this fun series. When you do it, please leave the blog link here, I’d love to read it 🙂
