Me: I like these colours, Rebellious Rose and Infamous in the new Envy lipsticks.
SA: I’m sorry m’am. They both are out of stock.
Me: Oh no. Anyway, did you get stocks of Stay Rose and Stay Ginger in the Double Wear?
SA: Stay Ginger is discontinued but we have Stay Rose…….
I had gone for the Elle Beauty Circus and had met Shivani (yes the very same Shivani of shivanic.blogspot.in who has such an enviable makeup collection). The event didn’t really live up to the hype and we hopped across to Palladium to shop a bit. I really wanted the Pure Colour Envy lipsticks but the colours that I wanted were all out of stock.
So then I turned my attention to the Estee Lauder Double Wear lipsticks. I already have the Stay Mauve (reviewed here) and really LOVE the texture and pigmentation and lasting power of this range. Initially, I was lusting after Stay Coral but now I have quite a few corals and oranges in my collection. Honestly, though, I don’t need ANY new lipsticks in any colour but…..
Isn’t the colour absolutely beautiful???It is a perfect soft rose colour and is another of the “wear anywhere” kind of shades.
Just look at the pigmentation. This is just ONE swipe! And it is so creamy, it glides on easily on the lips and doesn’t dry them out even after a whole day’s wear. Don’t know why the colour looks a bit dark in this swatch. It is actually a bit brighter than it looks here. And this is how it looks on me……
And now for the “double duty” I mentioned in the title. I tried this colour as a cream blush and it looks FABULOUS!!! Just one little dot on each cheek and blended out with my fingers gives me a pretty, natural-looking, coming-from-within flush. The reason why I haven’t put up a picture of that is because I’m planning to do an LOTD with it.
Priced at Rs. 1750, I think the Estee Lauder Double Wear lipstick is worth every rupee. I only wish they had more colour options in this range. I’m looking forward to buying the Pure Color Envy lipstick next.
Have you tried the Estee Lauder Double Wear lipsticks?
