The Nature's Co Beauty Wish Box
Products according to theme
- Good number of products
- Decent sample size
- One full size product
- Products in keeping with the theme
The Nature’s Co.
– known for their natural skin, hair and body care products which are eco-friendly and cruelty-free – also has a monthly subscription box where they send out products according to the monthly theme. Since the most common New Year resolution is to lose weight and tone up, the theme for the month of January was “Back To Shape”
with products to help people get a “taut and firm body”. Sounds interesting, doesn’t it? Read on to know the contents…..
The Beauty Wish Box consists of 5 deluxe samples and 1 full sized products in a bag or box depending on the theme of the month. This month’s products came in a foldable bag that, according to the brand, can be used as a gym bag. Personally, this isn’t what I would carry to the gym, but anyway….
Here’s what was in the bag:
* Laminaria Anti-Cellulite Cream (Full Sized 125ml)
* Neroli Stretch Mark Cream (35ml)
* Sea Fennel Re-firming Lotion (35ml)
* Green Clay Body Wrap (35ml)
* Cinnamon Bath Salt (15g)
* Fucus Anti-Aging Cream (15ml)
LAMINARIA ANTI-CELLULITE CREAM
This body cream has “chelated minerals” (minerals that have been combined chemically with amino acids to form complexes) that help stimulate the skin’s metabolism, eliminate excess fluids and restore the skin’s firmness. The ingredients include extracts of Laminaria (which is a kind of kelp), spirulina, fucus (an algae), shea butter, cocoa butter etc and seems to be quite promising.
NEROLI STRETCH MARK CREAM
Firstly, I’m sensible enough to know that no cream is able to get rid of the stretch marks I got two decades ago when my body suddenly decided “Hey, I’m tired of being so skinny, let me get myself some curves”. Naah, that’s not going to happen. But, I can always hope that this will help in fading them. It claims to “repair and visibly reduce the appearance of stretch marks and protect from further damage.” I started using this from today and will review the efficacy once this sample is over.
SEA FENNEL RE-FIRMING LOTION
Again, in keeping with the monthly theme, this lotion claims to give your skin a “worked-out firm and toned loo”. I guess what they mean is that it hydrates the skin and makes it appear smooth and supple as against dry skin which would be wrinkly. It contains sea fennel extracts and kokum butter and has a lightweight texture with a mild fragrance. Now that Bombay has started getting hotter (when is it ever really cold in Bombay?) this seems like it would make for a good summer-time lotion.
GREEN CLAY BODY WRAP
Besides body scrubs, the treatment that I love getting at spas are body wraps. So of course, I am excited to try out this Green Clay body wrap that is enriched with bearberry and licorice extracts. It eliminates excess fluids and toxins and also smoothen the skin. Sounds wonderful, doesn’t it?
CINNAMON BATH SALT
This Cinnamon Bath Salt smells so, so good (if you like the fragrance of cinnamon, which I love)!!! Cinnamon increases blood circulation, has anti-bacterial properties and relieves pain and stiffness of muscles and joints. Increased blood circulation also improves metabolism so indirectly, this will help with weight loss. While I will take that claim with a pinch of salt (pun intended), I’m sure a soak in a bath infused with these salts will definitely relax and rejuvenate me and my tired body after a long, busy day.
FUCUS ANTI-AGING CREAM
After all those products to help get a “taut and firm” body, here’s finally a product to keep the face “firm and toned”. This anti-aging cream contains extracts of Fucus (a seaweed), coneflower and fenugreek among others, has a lightweight texture but is extremely hydrating and smells of Fusen Gum (my favourite bubble gum). I have so many creams and moisturisers right now that I am struggling to find space to fit this into my regime. Hmm….
PRICE AND MY VIEWS
Priced at ₹595, the Beauty Wish Box is truly value for money. There are no sachets in here and even the small samples are 15ml, which for a face cream is enough to give a fortnight’s usage. After seeing one Indian beauty box go downhill and another one filled with sachets that you would usually get for free at the brand’s counters, it is heartening to see that this beauty box does send out generous sized products in keeping with the theme. You also get a coupon which entitles you to a 35% discount on purchase of the full-sized packs of any of the samples sent out in this bag. And eco-friendly and cruelty-free. Win, win.
Of course, the January box is sold out , but you can order the February Beauty Wish Box from their website here:
The theme for the month of love is “Pure Seduction” so it will be interesting to see what products are included in that 😉
