            Pros

            • Soft cream to powder texture
            • Good pigmentation
            • Lasts for 4-5 hours without a primer
            • Has micro shimmer which doesn't irritate the eyes

            Cons

            • Only 6 shades in the collection
            • Packaging could have been better

A couple of months ago, Oriflame had launched a range of 6 cream eyeshadows in their The One range called the Color Impact eyeshadows. They sent me four of the six shades to review and I have been wearing them since then, sometimes as eyeshadows but more frequently as eyeliners. This post has long been pending because I simply couldn’t find all the pictures that I had taken of these shadows. None of the folders on my laptop had the pictures, neither were they on my phone so ultimately, I had to take new pictures but they didn’t turn out as nice as the previous ones because I had already touched the eyeshadows.  Anyway, these beautiful eyeshadows are really pretty so I had to show them to you…..

The Color Impact cream eyeshadows come in a cute little pot with a screw on cap. Though the cap is opaque, the pot is transparent making it easy to find the colour you want. There are a total of six shades in this range, Rose Gold, Shimmering Steel, Golden Brown, Olive Green, Deep Indigo and Intense Plum. Out of these I got the four gorgeous jewel tones that you can see in the picture above.

Oriflame The One Color Impact eyeshadows are cream eyeshadows that set to a powder finish within seconds of applying. Once they are set, they last for a good 4-5 hours without fading. They do smudge a bit, however, if you rub your eyes but I quite like the smudgy, smoky look that gives. Make sure you don’t rub your eyes too much though because the shimmer will spread. The shadows don’t crease and are nicely pigmented even without an eyeshadow primer. You can opt for a light wash of colour on the lids or build up the colour by layering it. After having used these, I find myself wishing that they had some more shades in this range.

Here are the four colours that I got:

            Golden Brown

As the name suggests, this is a brown shadow with gold micro-shimmer.  It isn’t a rich, chocolate brown but more of a khaki brown which is quite neutral. It would look good on most skin tones and would also make a lovely base for layering under golden eyeshadows and glitters to give them depth.

            Olive Green

Olive Green is a cool-toned olive green but with gold micro-shimmer it would look good on girls with cool as well warm skintones. I have worn this often as an eyeliner on top of black liner and it looks really lovely.

            Deep Indigo

While the name states indigo, the shade is actually a pure, shimmery royal blue. The kind of royal blue that we get in inkpots. It is a beautiful colour and even those who aren’t fond of blue eyeshadow will love it.

            Intense Plum

While all these colours are lovely, if I had to choose one favourite, it would be this purple colour. If you are bored of the standard black/grey/brown smoky eyes, try this colour for a unique spin on the smoky eye.

And here are the swatches of these four colours:

This is the colour payoff you get with just a single swipe of the shadows. You can of course, build up the colour to make it even more intense.

Priced at just ₹449, these are a very, very good buy. The texture, the colours, the pigmentation, the staying power, the shadows score in all these criteria and are excellent value for money. I hadn’t used any Oriflame products earlier but if all their products are so good, I would love to try out other stuff too.

Have you used Oriflame products? Which is your favourite that you would recommend? Which of these eyeshadows did you like the most? Do let me know.
