L’Oreal’s Cannes 2015 collection is fabulous and after my glossy look, I was really eager to come up with a “Marvellous Matte” look. If you haven’t seen my glossy look and picture with Katrina Kaif yet, check out this post. I was putting off doing the look post since the soaring temperatures in Mumbai are wreaking havoc on my skin and none of my skincare products are able to tackle it. But then the Cannes Film Festival is just 2 days away as is my holiday and so I decided to do this post even though the pictures just weren’t coming out nice.
For the Marvellous Matte look, I really wanted to use the beautiful Moist Mat lipstick in Cherry Crush, a milky pink, similar to MAC Please Me. The limited edition Swarovski embellished Moist Mat lipsticks are super stunning and come in a velvet jacket to keep the crystals safe. The texture of the Moist Mat is also lovely, it goes on creamy matte and doesn’t feel dry on the lips.
Since the lipstick is light, I decided to play up the eyes but with the Gel Intenza in Royal Blue. It is such a gorgeous colour and has such amazing, buttery smooth and soft texture, I would recommend it to every one. It is the liner I have been wearing almost everywhere I go. Along with the blue liner, I used a bit of blue eyeshadow to smoke it up.
But then, since I had to click pics for an outfit post, I added some Moist Mat in Raspberry Syrup over the Cherry Crush and…..
An Indian red carpet look….
I’m sure Sonam Kapoor is definitely going to wow the world in something Indian, something very unique like the Anamika Khanna saree with cape that she wore last year. And speaking of Sonam Kapoor, here’s my picture with her from the day of the press conference…
What do you think of the Marvellous Matte look that I tried? I wish my skin starts behaving well soon.
I’m really looking forward to seeing all the looks on the red carpet this year. Katrina will play it safe for sure, like she always does. She’s not one to go adventurous with her makeup. Sonam will surely stun everyone with something super glam and unexpected. And Aishwarya should continue being the Glam Goddess she was last year…
